Club at the End of the Street : ウィキペディア英語版 | Club at the End of the Street
"Club at the End of the Street" is an up-beat song performed by Elton John and written by Bernie Taupin. From the album ''Sleeping with the Past'', the song describes a night on the town between two lovers at a disclosed nightclub. John also describes about the music of Otis Redding and Marvin Gaye being played. An interesting note is the video for the song was animated, due to Elton's involvement with the family of AIDS victim Ryan White. The record company demanded a video, but Elton was dedicated to spending time with Ryan. The single was a top 30 hit in the US in the summer of 1990. In Denmark, where the album was recorded, it hit #1 for two weeks and is still seen as one of Elton's biggest hits in that country. ==B-side== On the 7" release, the B-side of this single release was Elton's rendition of the well-known John Lennon song "Give Peace a Chance". The song is perhaps the most bizarre recording released by Elton, a mix of funny voices, with "I Don't Wanna Go on with You Like That" in the background, while various people are mentioned as "The next contestants on 'making a B-side.'" This song was also released on his 1990 box set, ''To Be Continued''.
